This new-build house, proposed in Janda Baik, incorporates the site’s natural surroundings and tries to leave a small footprint on the land. An open plan house with large glazed window opening allows the surrounding views to be framed and appreciated. A new mini-jetty was proposed to take advantage of the existing river, as an open area for the family. Which connects back to main house via an elevated bridge. The whole house, made of lightweight steel, is elevated to mitigate the risk of floods.
